The Achieving Creative Excellence (ACE) program recognizes students who go above and beyond in the creative arts and technologies. Our program aligns with the school’s vision for promoting communication, personal responsibility, and real world relevance.
ACE lets students make creative and STEAM projects with the guidance of a teacher mentorship!
Students choose their project based on their talents and interests!
Students can work alone or in groups!
Students present their projects publicly and have a final reflective interview!
Our goal is for participating students to:
Build confidence
Develop communication skills
Foster collaboration
Engage in problem-solving
Develop adaptability
Increase self-awareness
Foster open-mindedness
Engage students in sustaining throughout the creative process.
The Process
The centerpiece of the ACE program is a student-designed and -executed collaborative, interdisciplinary project with a teacher mentorship. Students may choose to work individually or in groups.
tudents will keep a portfolio with documentation of their process and will engage in a reflective interview at the end of the process.
Recognition
Students who complete an ACE project will be recognized with a certificate of distinction at the Lion Awards in May. Outstanding projects in each creative discipline will receive high honors and a medal.
